"I learned how a Good Realtor really pays off"
" We recently purchased a home in Oceanside Ca. Century 21 Stan Chambers was the realtor that made this possible. The word was in January 2009 it was a buyer’s market and banks were processing homes and willing to make deals as fast as possible. What seemed to be an easy task at the time turned into a walk through minefields? ...I searched on-line, made a [foreclosure] list, called banks and realtors without even a reply. I soon turned to Stan and asked how he could help us in finding a foreclosure or short sale. Immediately he broke it down in the area we wanted and set us up with daily emails showing what homes were available and asked us to choose which ones we would like to view. He provide a mortgage person and we were qualified that week, The next Saturday we looked at 6 houses and made three offers. Again, because of his [Stan's] experience he knew who to call and schedule and how to accomplish the task; he made many suggestions for upgrades that made the construction come up beautiful and on time and 3k under budget. Stan had already done a great job for us but how he organized the construction effort over the next three weeks and closed escrow a week early with a 3k leftover to apply to closing cost was truly amazing. I have been a buyer for 25 years and have dealt with construction and equipment mfg, and I could really appreciate the timeliness and quality of work that was performed. ...This is not as easy a time to purchase a home as one might think but Stan made it pleasant and Enjoyable. Shelter is a very basic human need which most people accommodate by renting or buying a house or apartment. Rental property is often less-than-perfect. Tenants usually experience a rent increase every year or so and feel somewhat at the mercy of the owner. They don't necessarily feel a strong commitment to the property or the community.
Making a decision to buy a house is a major commitment, and the decision has both economic and emotional implications. Instead of paying the landlord's mortgage every month, homeowners pay their own mortgage and build up equity in their investment. When they paint, plant flowers or make improvements, their family reaps the benefits of a more beautiful environment. Homeowners are much more selective than renters about finding the perfect home, and their sense of personal satisfaction heightens the pride of ownership.
